About G.S. @ S.S.

My name is Greg Stewart, I am a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) in Private Practice in the Town of Cohasset. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies from Emerson College in Boston where I minored in Psychology. It was here I learned the art and subtle beauty of Listening. My Masters in Clinical Mental Health came years later from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.

I completed my clinical hours at a Community Counseling and Mental Health Center where I continue to practice part-time. I now do most of my work out of my office in Cohasset.

My approach is detailed on the “Services” page, but the bottom line is I have a strong desire to help others in any way I can. I’ve worked with those who carry everything from Agoraphobia to Schizophrenia. My field of expertise is Addiction.

Working therapeutically, with those suffering from Addiction was something that I initially wanted to avoid…I was too well-versed and yearned to “spread my wings” a bit. As the years passed, I began to realize the comfort clients found in my understanding of their battle with addiction. Soon thereafter, I began to experience the pleasure in witnessing their growth. Something special happens when your Therapist has Been there, done THAT.

Whatever it is that you are carrying, I encourage you to reach out via email, text or telephone- with whatever you are most comfortable. I am here, and I really want to lend a helping hand. I hold you to no obligation- you have nothing to lose but we can potentially gain some understanding, and perhaps grow and gain a bit of insight…together.
